I'm playing readless here and it's still early so it wouldn't have mattered anyway. This is a turbo 6-max structure, top two pay. FWIW UTG insta-called my flop bet, and took a few seconds before pushing the turn.
Poker Stars, $6 + $0.50 NL Hold'em Tournament, 15/30 Blinds, 4 Players LeggoPoker.com - Hand History Converter BB: 3,155 UTG: 1,370 Hero (BTN): 2,465 SB: 2,010 Pre-Flop: (45) T 9 dealt to Hero (BTN)UTG calls 30, Hero raises to 150, 2 folds, UTG calls 120 Flop: (345) 9 2 6 (2 Players)UTG checks, Hero bets 270, UTG calls 270 Turn: (885) T (2 Players)UTG bets 950 and is All-In, Hero goes "goddamn it all" and....? |

Looks like he had a high pair. The logical thinker would say no pair & he made his flush on the turn, but it's probably a high pair, IMO. Hopefully not tens.
I'm anxious to have much discussion on this hand, cause I'm often put in the position of many times where I raise pf, get a caller or two (i know, big defference) and the flop brings two to the flush. I C-Bet 2/3-3/4 pot and get called. Turn brings 3rd to the flush. Now what? Earlier on, I'd usually let it go if they push the turn, but I've said "Fuck it a few times and became very surpised once or twice. Experts, please chime in on this one.

Looking at the hand. He limp called PF. Calls the flop and pushes the turn...... I think he is bluffing the scare card on the turn. That's my first thought.
Let's review the possible hands he plays like this: Small pairs, 88, 55, etc AK played really bad A10 might be the most plausible AJo My gut tells me it's somehting like AJ/AQ and he hasn't figured out how to let it go. On the river he figured you couldn't have raised with any of that and decided that the flush scare card on the turn could get you off the hand.. I call

in a tourney, i don't think you really get played back at like that - I think hoping he has AK/AQ/AJ is optimistic...I could see AT maybe .
also the small pairs might call the flop but I think they're going to either c/c or c/f the turn, open shoving is really rare unless it's a made hand. if you compare the hands he would do this with that beat me (made hands like flushes/straights/sets) vs the hands that he might do this with that I beat (random overcards, lower pairs, lower two pair, throw in a random bluff), it's really close, I just don't think I've seen too many cases where someone bluff-shoves into the pfr who's shown a lot of strength and no sign of folding - it almost looks like he hopes I have a big pair and can't fold it. |
