Default Tournament hand with 9's

Unfortunately, Cake's HH is too wonky, so here's what happened.

I have about 2000 in chips, blinds are 75/150. I get pocket nines in second position, and raise it to 525. Small blind (with about 5000) raises it to 1500. Do you go all in or fold it? Was the PF raise okay?

I guess it depends on your read of SB. Although if you fold you have about 10BBs left, so you are in push/fold mode from here on in. So I think you just have to push it in and hope it works out.

I kinda like the minbet in early position with small-medium pairs. Very often you'll get called by just one or two players and on Cake, hopefully you can outplay them post flop. If you get re-raised you could probably still call for set value & in many cases still have a hand that can see a showdown.

Need stack sizes of all players including how many are left, and if it's full ring or 6-max.

Thats ok to do earlier in the tournament, but with only ~14BBs, any raise is going to cost half our stack, not what I want to call for set value. Also, if we get called, we are most likely going to be playing out of position, which is not a good spot.

I would like more info as well, but I'm leaning towards pushing rather than raising in this spot.

It looks like you have ~ 13BBs. I'm assuming this isn't bubble or anything. PF I make 2.5-3x or just shove. Shoving is by far the easiest and it's still profitable so, in a vacuum, that's what I would do. I need stack sizes to see if we should call now but since you stuck 25% of your stack in you should probably call.

I like a shove. It's just too awkward to raise to any other amount and to many villains it will look weaker to shove, so you might be more likely to get looked up by smaller pp's. With this hand and this stack, I'm more concerned with how to get all my chips in the middle than trying to make a hero fold.
