Default folding flopped sets for fun and profit

Tried one of those Cake poker gold chip tournies, where you buy in with some of your gold chips and it pays out in gold chips in a standard SNG format. I haven't played FR tournies in a while so it was an experience. The play is of course very bad although we were shorthanded for a while.

Anyway:

Cake Poker, Gold Chip Lover (5 Chips)
Seat 5: BTN(3680.00 in chips)
Seat 6: SB(4130.00 in chips)
Seat 8: Hero (4995.00 in chips)
Seat 10: UTG (2195.00 in chips)
SB: posts small blind $100
Hero: posts big blind $200
Dealt to Hero [ :8s :8c ]
UTG: folds
BTN: raises to $400
SB: calls
Hero: calls
*** FLOP *** [ :8h :Th :3c ] (t1200)
SB: checks
Hero: bets $600
BTN: folds
SB: calls
*** TURN *** [ :9h ] (t2400)
SB: checks
Hero: checks
*** RIVER *** [ :4s ] (t2400)
SB: instantly bets $2,400
Hero: thinks, and folds

Thoughts?

If minraising is standard for the button, I would shove this preflop. Anybody else?

As played I can't argue too much with folding the river, though I don't know if I'd be able to do it. To be picky I like 800 on the flop.

Depending on villain I might squeeze shove PF.
Flop: I might go for a CR or at least bet more.
River: wow that sucks. I think folding is best but man that's tough.

I don't think I push preflop...

I bet more on the flop, 900 or so.

Rest looks good, fold river and cry.

I agree, I might shove this pre depending on villains. I'd actually shoved a few times in this exact same situation where the guy two to my right would minraise, next guy calls, and I shove with a good ace or 99 or something. I didn't feel too good about doing that this time, but good to know I wasn't crazy for at least thinking about it.

Flop might be a disconnect between cash and tournies. I've found in cash a half pot bet will nearly always be met with a raise from aggro villains and I was hoping the PFR would come along for at least one bet, but that plan failed. obv in hindsight I'd bet more to set up a turn or river push.

River...well, ow. I basically beat 33 or a bluff. Hard to say if I'm good enough often enough here to call. I finally decided to fold mostly because I really liked my position at the table and felt I could probably find a better spot. If he pushed me off the best hand, nh sir.

I ended up winning. :)
