Default 6m $13, flop small pair on paired board, bet into on river

That's a real small bet on the river, hero is not beating much but wtf. On the flop, what are your thoughts. In other words what is a good plan for this hand.

Flop bet is no good. Your plan should be to get a cheap showdown. With every hand you play in these tournaments you need to think, do I want a big pot here, or do I want to get to a showdown? Do I have much FE? What are the stacks like? Here there is no reason to build a big pot with a crummy 59. CHECK the flop. SB has a J and went for the c-r on the turn or he has a K and called the flop because he had a flush draw or a lobotomy. No need to get into these marginal situations. It's not a cash game. You can't build a wacko image and then rebuy and double through with a good change of gears.

I'd just c/f really, I don't think there's much value to be had here.

He had :Kh: :Th: ? In any event, it seems he has a king or (at least) a queen or jack. I would have checked the flop, checked the turn, and folded to the river bet.

I must say I'm pretty shocked at all the responses so far. You guys are folding to a limp/minbet on this flop? That seems hugely exploitable.

I also think that it's quite standard to bet when checked to in this situation, regardless of holdings. I think shutting it down after the bet is called is the way to go. Curious to see more responses.

Flop bet looks good to me. I'd call river w/ great odds and a ton of curiosity.

I bet this situation say, 85% of the time, regardless of holdings, when the SB limps and then checks to me. Good, bad?

Paired board like this I really like a bet.

I probably bet 225-250 on the flop next time, and fold river.

I don't know if you can fold river.

I also like the flop bet, but not quite so much.
