Default How much will you pay to chase a GSSD?

Poker Stars, $1 + $0.10 NL Hold'em Tournament, 15/30 Blinds, 8 Players
LeggoPoker.com - Hand History Converter

UTG+1: 1,290
MP1: 1,620
MP2: 1,875
CO: 930
Hero (BTN): 1,395
SB: 1,255
BB: 2,705
UTG: 2,085

Pre-Flop: (45) :2c :2d dealt to Hero (BTN)
UTG folds, UTG+1 calls 30, MP1 calls 30, MP2 calls 30, 2 folds, Hero calls 30, SB calls 15, BB checks

Flop: (180) :Ad :3h :4s (6 Players)
SB checks, BB bets 180, UTG+1 folds, MP1 calls 180, MP2 folds, Hero folds

In this particular case, it was an easy fold. I'm not chasing after this so early on in this tournament. I missed my set, move on. But although I couldn't dig out a better example, I've been faced with similar HU scenarios with a guy just min-betting. Is that sometimes worth another card?

I think you answered your own question. The chips are not that valuable early in a tourney. Consider this same scenario (22 on the button, A34 flop), but the pot odds appear desirable. Villain minbets, offering you 10:1 odds and you decide to call. Regardless of whether the deuce or five comes, you'll either win the pot uncontested, get it all-in and split the pot, or get it all-in and be dead against a BB/SB special. Don't get broke in an unraised pot.

I pay exactly 4/47ths of the pot, and not a penny more.

very easy fold, your draw is not that great anyway and you will not get paid even if you do hit your miracle.

When up against good players you'll rarely get good enough odds to make a call, however I know how many minbetting nutbags are out there! So say your villain minbet 30 into that 180 pot...

You have 4 outs. So what are the chances of hitting your card compared to the money you have to invest in relation to the pot?
