Default Silly river card vs whale

Villain is 53/17/.9. He thinks I'm steaming because he stacked me earlier with KK vs my JJ aipf and I raised a few hands afterward... he said "upset on lose" in chat.

Well IMO, This is totally read dependent. I don't see him folding to anything. If you think you have him beat, then shove. If not... check/fold a shove. I totally suck at playing against players who just call everything. I'd love some guidance on how to handle players like this. I know you want to bet for value, but if they don't give you any info, what do you do?

I like c/c better, it allows him to bluff with worse and I can't see many hands calling you if you bet, nor do I see worse hands folding.

Not good at all; If he has a flush draw he's not calling the river bet.

He might shove all in as a bluff though and put you in a position to call.

That card was godawful so I think you have to just check and reevaluate. Sux though cuz you aren't beating much on the river.

edit to add: Villain is so passive and with his pfr of 17 I think that flop just smacks his range right in the face. He probably won't give you credit for a ten, so I don't think you could push him off of 2pair/set type hands. I think I like a check fold.

You should bet $40 and no less on the turn because there is little chance I could ever fold on the river to him. And it doesn't look like he cares too much about odds if there is a draw available. Now I dunno what to do, I fell like a donk going all in, check calling or check folding.

When this is the kind of river spot you could face, don't feel bad about betting pot on the turn. It's the one time you should adjust your betsize and just cut off his implied odds, even if it means he folds more often.
