This is the third time I've raised in a row. All my hands were legit raising hands but none went to showdown, so keep that in mind. Villain seems to be your standard loose cake villain, calls too much pre. Comments appreciated on all streets. Do I bet this flop? I have no idea what I did in this hand. I must not have seen how short he was at the time.
Hand #1311011435001078: Pebble Beach (6-Max) 11435 Seat 2: Hero (44.55 in chips) Seat 3: Villain (9.97 in chips) (6-handed, no one else matters) Blinds post. Dealt to Hero [ :Tc: :Td: ] UTG folds Hero: raises to $1.75 Villain: calls all fold *** FLOP *** [ :Kh:, :Kc:, :9h: ] Hero: checks Villain: checks *** TURN *** [ :Ks: ] Hero: checks Villain: checks *** RIVER *** [ :6h: ] Hero: bets $2.50 Villain: calls Final pot: $8.80

If he calls too much preflop and it is 50NL, I make it $2 (because of his stack) before the flop. On that flop you're never folding to his stack so bet 2/3 call a push. If he just calls then put him in on the turn. With preflop and flop played as shown, the turn you need to bet. With each previous street as played the river is a bet (again) may as well make it a pot sized bet, bad players will think you are bluffing.

Yeah, I think Ugi has it about right. Raise, bet, shove. I'm thinking that you won this but what the hell is he playing? If you lose then I'd have lost more.

I see no reason not to bet the flop, and am happy to get it in against 20 bb's. If he pushes over you he's usually got a flushdraw, gutshot, or 9 more than a K, but if you check you'll let him have a free card. If you bet and he calls the flop then he just might have a K but then obviously you are pot committed. As played I'd probably bet the turn to try to get the rest of his stack by the river, but if you think he'll bet a 9 or low pp when checked to then the turn check isn't terrible either. (Although on Cake you'll probably get called by A or Q hi a lot on the turn so bet :P )
Basically I wouldn't sweat it too much, you have a premium hand against a shortstack moron who is going to get it in with a very wide range ime.
