Default Flopped set, shitty turn

Looking for feedback on this hand. I flopped a set with an Ace high flop. I just called the flop because me and the villain have some history and i knew he would keep betting.

The Turn isn't horrible, but not great either.. I decided to end the hand there, but he calls the turn raise.. I left out the river because i want to here what you all think is the best line for max value.

That's just atrocious.

Raise preflop, raise flop, and it won't be an issue on the turn.

What river line? If he bets all in, you call, if he checks, you go all in.

That doesn't sound like the hand in the replayer.

Edit: whooops, confused it with the hand from the other thread.

6-max I'm never open limping. I raise pre.

Flop: This is the perfect flop to get money in the middle. Ace high, he's rarely folding an ace, imo, and you don't want to let a draw get there for cheap.

Turn: This is actually a great card for you. It looks like he has an ace, and you get to take him to value town.

River is an easy shove, he's never folding Ax there, unless its a really weak ace.

Pre: mix between limp and raise, so ok.

Flop: I like to raise on a 2 flush board. seems like the 3rd flush card comes very often.

you have some history on him. is he one of those AA UTG limpers?

I'd have been looking to get it in earlier, but here, I think you're calling/shoving.

Raise pre. Raise flop. Turn is great, why would that ever be considered a bad turn?

Maybe Randy is having a Jennifer Tilly moment?

I agree I was a bit gun shy. The limping after a limp with a small PP is fine btw. If I was limping first in, that would be bad. Looking back at how it all played out, I'm not sure what my problem was with the hand.

The smooth call on the flop is ok too (I think) against an aggro opponent that will represent the flush if it comes and that will c-bet the turn no matter what. So, raising there might get him to slow down on the flop, and I didn't want that really. I'm not laying this hand down 90% of the time, so no reason to shut down his betting ealry.

Let's change this hand a bit. Say the club comes on the Turn or river and he shoves. Are we still calling 100%??

Oh, and saying it's atrocious just keeps people from wanting to post questions about hands. Contribute and give opinions.

Hm....He shoves the turn, I just don't think you'd be ahead often enough, unless you think he's going to shove with Ax. If it's the river, then it's probably an insta-call, as you're probably committed by then.
