Default Bottom set vs. massive show of strength

Tough situation:

Hand #1443011499002001: Calgary (6-Max) 11499
Seat 1: Dalb85 (23.60 in chips)
Seat 2: **Star*Guy** (31.95 in chips)
Seat 8: TheNOOBlack (27.85 in chips)
Seat 10: homicide (19.60 in chips)
homicide: posts small blind $0.10
Dalb85: posts big blind $0.20
Dealt to **Star*Guy** [ 4s 4c ]
**Star*Guy**: calls
TheNOOBlack: folds
homicide: calls
Dalb85: raises to $0.80
**Star*Guy**: calls
homicide: folds
### F L O P ### [ Jd 4d 7s ]
Dalb85: bets $1.80
**Star*Guy**: calls
*** TURN *** [ Qh ]
Dalb85: checks
**Star*Guy**: bets $2.70
Dalb85: raises to $13.50
**Star*Guy**: ********

The pot-sized check raise, in my eyes, is a huge show of strength, as it's not just a checkraise but a really large bet. It's easily possible for him to have JJ or QQ (or maybe 77). Could he have QJ here often enough to go all in?

I see that you have a set on a drawy board. Shove.

agree.

Obv. villain has the , because that's how I would play that hand. I mean, without the weird overbet.

If that's set over set, I'm going broke. In fact, I've been beat like that twice in the last two weeks. But I still think you have to shove. If he likes to c-bet flops, he might even have

See my post in BFZ, fold that shit immediately as soon as you see you have a set!!!

Seriously though, you got to go for that. It is a .10/20 table which I play all the time and a guy with AK, at least a lot of the players at the level will go all in. So take thier money!!

Agreed. Sometimes you can slowplay a set on the right board. This is not one of those times. I raise to as much as I think villain will call with an overpair/TPTK, even if that means shove.
