Default 25 NL: Top pair (with squeeze!)

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.25 BB (5 handed) Poker-Stars Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FlopTurnRiver)

Button ($22.55)
SB ($24.95)
Hero ($24.20)
UTG ($25)
MP ($14.15)

Preflop: Hero is BB with A, T.
1 fold, MP raises to $0.75, Button calls $0.75, SB calls $0.65, Hero raises to $3.25, MP folds, Button calls $2.50, SB folds.

Flop: ($ Q, 7, 8 (2 players)
Hero bets $5, Button calls $5.

Turn: ($1 A (2 players)
Hero bets $8, Button raises to $14.3, Hero calls $6.30.

Villain is about 30/4. Quite passive and sort of an idiot.

Original raiser is 16/14 and SB is 16/13.

I was pretty sure I was beat on the turn but the guy *is* an idiot. I don't think I played this hand particularly well.

Thats a pretty big re-raise on the flop. I personally don't like playing ATs, especially OOP. I might call and hope for a miracle flop with 3 others in, and since I am in BB. I doubt I put anymore money in after the flop.

Yeah I'm not sure I like the reraise. I would prefer a hand like 98s or something that has less chance of being dominated. But once you get there the rest seems standard to me.

Preflop isn't great, but the whole hand should still be ok if you check the turn. I can't imagine b/calling working out for you because AQ is so easy for him to have. But he is an idiot.

I wouldn't squeeze ATs, I think there's plenty of value in flatting it getting such a good price. If you hit the flop, the pot is going to be somewhat protected and you can bet out; unless the original raiser hits harder he's not going to put in a raise with that other TAG and the fish still to act.

If I DID squeeze ATs I would play it the same. But, as ML said, I'd rather squeeze 98s or even 75o than a hand that can get me into a lot of trouble. I like to 3bet AXs, but usually in position or as a resteal, whereas my squeezing range is super polarized.
