First hand history post. Not rocket science but wanting to get a hang of this and get some feedback if warranted.
All players in hand somewhat known to me. Villain is loose aggressive but often shows the best or strong hand when called. No specific question other than to ask if you'd have acted differently and how/where? Casino Felt, $1.00/$2.00 NL Hold'em Cash Game, 4 Players BB: $125 UTG: $145 BTN: $345 Hero (CO): $295 Pre-Flop: dealt to Hero (CO)6 folds, 4 limpers to the flop Flop: ($8 ) (4 players)UTG checks, BB bets $15, Hero calls $15, BTN calls $15, UTG folds Turn: ($53) (3 players)BB checks, Hero bets $25, BTN raises to $120, BB folds, Hero calls $95 River: ($293) (2players)Hero checks, BTN bets $125 For some reason, the font colour pull down isn't working (only gives a small white square when clicked on) so I sorta used cut and paste to apply the red font. I don't think it's done properly as I think that only bets and raises are to be highlighted in red. Is that right? Any other feedback as to the structure of the post would be greatly appreciated. TIA

And yes, thanks for the comment on raising earlier. Probably the most evident weakness in my game (amongst many) is how often I play hands that hit more slowly than I should. It's pure greed. Hoping to keep opponents around in order to give them a chance to make a mistake. Had a club hit on 4th or 5th streets, I'd have put the brakes on in a big way. Sadly, this approach costs me many pots and a fair amount of invested post-flop bets/calls. And, oh yeah, all hail the mighty Mule!

Hehe... I do, like... 49 times out of 50. But seriously, don't any of you successful players limp in with 'select' garbage from time to time in the hopes of catching ppl with stuff they'd never put you on? A $2 limp once or twice per 6 hour session is such a minimal cost and the rewards/risk ratio can be so rewarding.
Don't get me wrong, I receive and gladly accept the feedback as wise and sound, because it is... but isn't that part of the fun of the game making decisions that add to your deceptiveness and/or unpredictability? I mean, a mid-sized stack took down a very decent pot at the casino last night with 72os from BTN and the way ppl responded to future raises from this individual in future hands was fairly evident. I'm guessing this topic has been explored in previous threads though so I'll have a look when I get back from casino later. Bad beat jackpot is up around $110k so the place is crawlin' with fishies (like me) hoping to be in the right seat at the right time hehe. Have a great day all *edited for typo*

You can play T5o all day if you want, but it's not good poker... there's no way to do it profitably if you are just looking to hit a flop and get lucky. Hell, you flopped 2 pair here and your hand still is marginal if a bunch of money goes in, and besides trips with a weak kicker, what else can you really flop? You can't draw to anything very strong either. If you are making a play at a pot that you think might be profitable with ATC (any two cards) that's one thing, but limping a really crappy hand in for the hell of it and hoping to get lucky is a hugely -EV way to go about it. So to answer your question, no, I don't limp complete garbage.

You can raise in late position sometimes with that kind of hand, but no never limp with it. Sorry

Yeah, you guys are right of course. I'm trying to justify it to myself but it's really just another example of me overindulging my impatience and risk-taking flaws. Thanks for the feedback and not buying into my bs lol
