I had gotten away from Omaha lately as I have been concentrating on Hold-em. The last couple of nights however, while playing SNGs, I have set up a $25 O8 cash table. I had forgot how much fun it was, of coarse that may be more because I have had two pretty decent winning sessions. The play is awful. Last night I accidentally joined a NL O8 table, I normally play PL. I didn't realize it for about 15 minutes. I kind of liked it, though. I was sitting on the nut straight with the nut flush draw and I went to bet the pot and realized I could bet more. I got a guy to push his stack in with a weaker flush draw and top pair. I think I am going to try and play this a bit more now.

I dabbled in the NL O8 for a while. It can be great, or awful depending on how often you get sucked out on.

I've settled in on PL O8 for now and agree with you that it is a lot more fun than NLHE (at least for me). I also agree that there are a lot more fishies playing this game than there are playing NLHE. Probably the only downside I've encountered is that, often, there are only a few tables to chose from

Yea it is much more fun when your winning. I am still piddling around in $25.00 NL O8. I am actually down just a little, but that is because I let myself get dragged into a maniacs game one night. I ended up losing about a buy-in and a half, which set me back a bit. I also made a few rookie mistakes because I had not played in while.

I think I will stick to O8 cash games for awhile. It is a short stack nightmare on PS though. It seems like more than half the players at any table you sit at have less than $5.00 in front of them.

I think there is a big trend right now to shortstack Omaha, push edges and double up a few times, then get out because deep stack omaha is a difficult place to be, much moreso than NLHE

Is it just me or is micro stakes PLO stupid easy? Every table I've played on is ultra passive preflop, people don't show aggression postflop without a hand, and they pay you off with a pair when you make a straight.

And it really racks up the players points. This is the first hand I won today though... and I lost 5 previous hands to A high flushes. This guy tried to make it 6! I'm teh shortstacker haha. Any flush draw is all in, imo.
