Default I decided to play some $1/$2 Stud.

I had planned to start cheaper, play tight and build my baby online roll. I just can't take the smaller stakes seriously and I end up playing too loose and losing. So I started watching this table and it was juicy. So I take a shot and buy in for almost half of my swingy online roll. Then I get these two hands almost back to back.

I could have folded the second hand preflop, but other than that do you guys see any big mistakes? I'd put this in BBV but we need more posts here anyhow.

First hand, you should SERIOUSLY consider NOT making the huge overcall on 4th street. At this point you know that both other queens have been dealt, and another jack.

Not to mention, the :Ad: is raising 3rd street (incorrectly, at a table this loose, I might add) and betting out on 4th when he catches well (the :2d: is a good card for him).

You have very little equity, OnADraw216 is repping a pair of aces, and sportsbarney's overcall can easily mean a pair of scared kings. Since you'll often need a full house to win this hand and you can't make queens full, you should fold. If not on 4th street, then 5th street where the betting doubles AND sportsbarney makes another jack. At that point, if he had a pair of kings, he's now bested your queens up.

Still, ridiculous aggression by OnADraw216.

Second hand, raise / call / fold are all pretty neutral to me. Farther towards the bring in and the more I favor raising just to steal.

I agree. I think there is a converter on 2+2. I need to find that.

I am trying to regain my former style in this game. I won't argue with any of this but my basic plan was this: play exactly like live full ring limit holdem except.

1. Fold preflop a little more often (than my normal loose style)
2. After 4th, call and valuebet a little more often than you'd think.
3. Bluff less often or not at all.

It used to work but my interpretation of those rules may have changed a bit. I plan to find out.

I agree, very douchey.

Anyhow, on the first hand, I can find a fold as early as 4th street. I don't care to get involved with Queens, when a Queen is showing. When the 8 open pairs on the guy who repped Aces to begin with (onadraw), then I'm definitely getting out of the way. You're down to 3 outs. The problem with Stud is getting sucked in, that's what makes the majority of these guys so bad.

Second hand, I don't play this hand. I don't see what the 'lol' is for, like I said, just a douche bag. Anyhow, as played after 4th street, it looks fine to me.
