Part 2: Gold Strike 1/2 NL

Client wanted to go back to casino, so who was I to argue! We even drove straight there and had dinner there. I chose the Gold Strike this time.

There was a waiting list for the NL tables, and only 1/2 was running. Took about 20 minutes to get a seat. Didn't get to play long, as my
companions wanted to leave around midnight.

lose fair sized pot in classic top pair v set of deuces

I raise with 88, two callers. flop Q9x (this flop might not be right). i cbet 20, they both call. turn is 8, but makes an obvious straight. i check/fold. both others split the pot with the straight.

worst hand ever. raise it up to 8 with AKo in EP, 3 callers. flop AK4 with 2 diamonds. I bet out 25 on the flop, 2 callers.
turn is a small diamond. I push my last 60 or so, and get called by one guy. I'm like shit, he has the flush. He turns over 74o with one diamond.
WTF?? did he misread his hand??? river: fucking diamond.

limped to me in BB, i check my option with A6o. flop is A6J with 2 spades. we are about 5 in the pot. I check. there is one bet of 10, folded to me,
i raise to 30. only the bettor calls. turn is 7 of clubs. I bet 50, guy thinks and calls. river worst card ever, 7 of spades. my hand is worthless and i check.
other guy pushes for 100+ which covers me. i fold; others ask him to show, and he turns over A2 of spades. rivered again...

The level of play at this table was not as good as what I saw at the HorseShoe, but that could be just my table/night.

Net result tonight: -300 (short time span, and never won a hand). Things could have turned around if I'd had a few more hours, but business first...

Tunica net result +230 - 300 = -70

Ok I said in my other post that I liked Sam's Town and the grand, but it was actually the gold strike. I membered once you mentioned it. I lost money there as well, but I still thought it was a nice room.

looks like there is going to be a WPT there this fall. that's what made me want to have a look.

This is just fucking disgusting, oh dear that's one thing I don't think I will ever understand. I don't know if I like the turn push but it's live so nice hand man... shame about the bad luck but at least it's only 1/2
