Hey I have no posted one of these in a while so here goes.

I have been on a terrible run since mid November. Basically in that time frame I have been basically slightly above break even against some of the worst players ever (think Party when the poker boom just started).

It is funny how many people at Hard Rock say "Online Poker is rigged" "How did you win online" LOL . Poker is difficult when you call off 320 bucks (pot bet) with A-10 on a K-J-5-4 board. That hand happened on a buddies 2-5 table last night.

Anyway the first 4 hours were mundane. Here are a few notable hands...........

I am in the small blind with 9-9 and an early position raiser to 6. 5 callers including myself. The flop came 9-10-4 rainbow. I led out for 20 and get 3 callers. Turn was a King and I lead out for 55 and everyone folds. Yeah I could have ran into Q-J but I did not.

I switch seats an sit next to my buddy Jason who is an excellent poker player, he is a pro both live and online. I am in the BB with Q-Q. Jason straddles and gets 5 callers and it is up to me. I raise to 15 and Jason asks," you have a good hand?". I said," It is a raising hand for sure". Jason pops it all in. It is folded around to me. I said," Anyone else I call." He said,"come on it is a coin flip" after I showed QQ. He was full of shit. He said later," There are 3 fucking players in this entire place that fold QQ there and you are one of them. Fuck. I thought you had AQ or AK or something." He had AA.

Then I had a good run................. I will post that later.

My last 9 sessions (This is not representative of my month, this is just the last 1 1/2 weeks), I think my horrid run is over:

Let me ask you this miami. In the FL card rooms you've been in, do they let people just use the reds to post their $2 blind or to limp and then make change, without saying a word? That's the way they do it at the Best Bet in J'ville and it's annoying as hell. Slows the game down too. Same question to Terminal if he reads this, I wonder if they do the same shit in Monitcello or Jasper or what have you.

Hijack #2: the card room opening within 5 minutes of me is now hiring dealers, won't be too much longer :D

You can post with $25 chips if that is all you have. The dealers make change rather quickly. It is no big deal.

Yeah that's pretty standard anywhere I've seen. Then again things were so relaxed that I've seen people post by yelling "I'm posting" while standing 20 feet away and talking on a cell phone.

Here is the rest of the story:

Last hand before the table broke.

I get 88 on the button. It was raised to 12 by mid position raiser, some college student with his buddies that raise shit hands. Anyway there was like 3 callers. One was a drunk crazy Samoan kid. Flop comes 8-4-2. Raiser leads out for 20. I call as does drunk Samoan. The turn was a 4. Raiser goes all in for 14 more, I call as does the Samoan. Turn was god knows what the Drunk samoan kid flips his hand over and ends any chance I have of getting his money oh well. Raiser had 10-10 go back to college and learn something kid.


I get moved to a different table. There is a drunk nutty loud mouthed bastard sitting with 1000 bucks in front of him. The first two hands I witnessed were comical. The first one the Drunk fuck blasted away and got everyone to fold and flips up a complete bluff. The second hand he trains to the river raises big and shows bottom pair.

I looked over to my buddy Jason and said," If this lunatic is going to train bottom and mid pair against us he is going home broke." Jason agreed.

I get A-A in the BB. 7 limpers to me and I make it 19. I get one caller, not the drunk douche. The board is A-K-7 all diamonds. I bet 45 bucks and the guy calls. I instantly thought he has a flush draw, no way he beats me at the moment. Turn was a 5 and I bet 65 again he calls. River was a 4. I go all in for approx. 125 and he folds................... should have bet less as he probably would have called.

Two hands later I get 10-10 on the Button. 4 limpers to me. I did not raise for one reason. The drunk fuck was going to raise based on the way he was fumbling his chips in the BB. Raise he did,though, not before he yells" Lets play some poker". He raised to 15. There were 2 other callers besides me. Flop was 8-9-2. The drunk bastard leads out for 45. My buddy Jason whispers," look out he has a big hand here". I thought the opposite. He has shit and is just trying to bully me. I just shook my head no to Jason. Other guy in hand calls as do I. Turn was a 3 making it a rainbow board. Again the drunk bastard leads out for 50 and the other guy goes all in, for all 5 bucks he had left. I call. The river was a 3. Drunk guy leads out for 50 and I snap call. I flip my 10-10 and the other 2 muck. Yeah I get another nice pot. Jason looked at me and nodded in approval. I get 2-3 nice calls from the table. Like I said he was completely bullying people.

The very next hand I get A-Q. again I limp in the CO and expect a big raise from the knucklehead. He did not raise.............oh well. There was 8 callers in the hand. Flop came out A-Q-7 rainbow. I see dollar signs in my head. Checked around to me and I lead out for 20. Drunk guy is the only caller. Turn was a 5. I bet 60 and he calls. River was a J. I lead out for $75 and he re-raises me to 150. I snap call..................... I should have pushed or reraise him but I just flat call. Stupid I know. I show my AQ and he again mucks.

One of his buddies watching the action then begs this guy to leave. He gets up with 300-400 left. Oh well............ Live by the sword you die by the sword.

I picked up a few more hands here or there.

I lost a big hand with K-J, as I turned trip Jacks and a knucklehead stayed in for a rivered straight. That was the only hand I lost. The cocksucker took 100 from me. oh well can't win them all I suppose. I left up 617.

Playing live 4-5 days a week you get to learn the ticks and betting patterns of other players real well. Sometimes it is real easy to see when some person has a huge hand and is trapping or the reverse when they are bluffing.

Also many of the players have no earthly idea how to bet. It is rather comical. Case in point.............

I have red J-10. The board is 7-8-3 all spades. There are 3 other players in the hand. So the pot is 6 bucks as they take an automatic 2 out for the rake. It is checked around. The turn is a 9 not a spade. A girl that had been massively overbetting, does guess what? Leads out for 35 bucks. I thought about it and came to the following conclusion.................. I have 2 bucks in this and she just made a ridiculous bet. I folded face up and people were like WTF? I simply said," I had 2 bucks invested and I am not calling a completely retarded bet like that." They just did not understand. Oh well cool for me.
