Default End of year home game.

Awesome food. Jerry gets his Karma straight by bringing lobster and steak along with jalapeņo corn and a pan of beans.

I didn't get my nap and I'm not feeling good so I wasn't drinking as much early. I actually folded a bunch of hands and played good poker. I doubled up early and hovered around $200 for a while.

Finally I play 99 UTG and call a $7 raise with 4-5 people in the pot. The flop comes out 696 rainbow and I check. Someone bets $25 and there is one other caller and I call. I don't recall the action but I got it all in 3 ways against two guys who have me covered and I never had to bet. We flip them up and they are both drawing dead. Woohoo, triple up!

It didn't get much better than that. Table was full and loose and I played a little tighter than normal. Won a few more than I lost until I got tired and lost it all back in the last hour. I go to bed -$10 for the night and +$11,282 for the year. Happy times.

Jerry and Juan were big winners. And all others lost money I think.

Less drinks and more naps are going on my poker goals list for next year.

EDIT: I remember a hand against Juan were I flopped a flush and got it all in. He turns a straight over and rivers a one outer to make the straight flush. Exciting for him -$300 for me.

I believe this is the hand I had pocket kings so I was doing much of the betting since the flop was low. Gerry had the 6 and some kicker hitting the set but was no match for johns full house. John won a few hundred and Jerry took another 50-100 leaving me with my buyin of $100.

However won 215 for the night, so not so bad, i played very tight unless I had 72...then i raised high and folded if i missed (72 pays $5 per person) ended up doing that twice to then last night...was prob where I made most my money...Although Ive been betting higher with my pocket As and Ks they still call me.

I have pocket A's 20ish bucks preflop...Gerry calls, flop comes out 2 J some other card that I cant remember. He asks how much I have...i reply with, doesnt matter im all in (we were the only two in the hand left), he raises all in and I call. flop was like 2J10o he had pocket twos (i believe i let him see the flop for $15-25). flop came out king came out on turn with only an A or a Q to help me on the river...and It did...I must have done something right this week as that was 100% luck at the end, i thought I was done for the night (which I kinda was hoping I was, due to how tired I was at a long work week (minus christmas...eruu isnt a total nazi at work), I was actually just ready to leave the table...I started to put my head on the table, still listening to whats going on as I fold almost every hand..I get down to about 200 and end up just calling it a night.

Overall I think my play style I used that night was very efficient against who was there...Although I got 72 and won one hand...next hand I get pocket A's and raise the same amount, hoping they would call bluff, but everyone folded...I throw it down instead of the normal show and take the 2 dollars or so. fortunately the rabbit hunt was horrible (all low cards, possible flush) I would rather just win the blinds than to get sucked out on.

I think for the year I am about even on my profit (counting online poker). I still only consider it a hobby, but lately Ive been wanting to play it more and more. Would like to find a game with smaller stakes that doesnt get people to play retarded due to the 20-50 bucks not meaning much to them.
