Default How do you hire someone to do concrete work that needs no concrete?

So last fall the city made us replace a bunch of sidewalk squares. We did this and then 6 months later, in March, they came back and said there is ONE MORE SQUARE that is unlevel and it has to be leveled by June 1st or we go to court. They also said there are 4 more squares that they want removed and grass planted instead, and now they also want the driveway apron extension we had put down removed and grass there too.

So, I have to hire a concrete guy to sell me no concrete, but instead to level just one seam and remove and take away a bunch of other stuff.

Who the fuck do I hire? No one wants the job. I've been trying for months. I can't get a call back. Or when I do and they ask what we need they hang up when they find out.

I looked under concrete contractors, under sidewalk leveling... anyone got any ideas?

Well, if you were here on Long Island, I could point you to a corner that has some very able latino day labor. You just drive by and they'll jump right in your truck. They work cheap and work, work, work.

Yeah, I'm working 6 days a week now, getting up at 8AM and getting home after 8PM... fuck if I'm going to spend my Sundays doing this work. There is plenty more that I need to do myself anyway.

I tried this... Home Improvement | Home Repair | Home Remodeling If this site works I'm going to fall in love with it.

Carnally.

Oh I forgot about that, have you tried your immigrant labor at your local Home Depot? I hear it works in big cities.

Wow, they actually called me on the phone today so they knew they understood the job then emailed me the contact information of a Landscaper/Excavator who also does concrete walkways. Booyah! Now if he'll call me back we're golden.

You were right jcarter! Excavator.... I was dooin it wrong.
