For those of us celebrating Memorial Day, Happy Memorial Day Weekend! How's everyone celebrating? I'm taking it extremely easy the whole weekend. Eating too much 'not good for me' food. Am just about to go check the grill for spider nests and am planning on firing up the grill tomorrow (just me and the GF). Nothing exciting...hamburgers, corn on cob, etc.

Rebuilt the BarBQ yesterday in preparation for the 1st RibEyes of the year. Digesting them as I type. TV brought out on the deck. Just finished watching the Yankees come from behind to win; & getting ready to watch the Coca-Cola 600. Wood is cut and ready for the Chimanea (Spelling?) for when it gets cold tonight (it's a late race.). Wireless LAN with an excellent signal to grind some FR cash on Stars or an MTT (we'll see what's startin' up.

All-in all, A perfect Memorial Day so far. Oh, yeah... Plenty of Beer in the fridge. (Although not in a kegerator ).

Danicka Patrick sucked wind at Indy (too bad, I wanted to see her do well).

I spent the whole day watchig justin.tv People broadcasting over webcams... It started by watching wcgriders prop bet channel... Justin.tv - Live Streaming Video He's running a prop bet on 2+2 where he wins about $40k if he can win $10k in one month playing nothing but .10/.25 NLHE. People were watching then noticed that there are lots of other people and would raid the other people's channels and it was a fuckng riot. There was this cute girl Betsy.. There were about 350 people watching wcgrider and hundreds of people would flood the other people webcam/chats and say 1-2 Teddy! and talk about poker. They got one guy to call up Bodog support and register an account with rakeback on the phone, acting like a whackjob the whole time.

"Umm, ok yes... And your address?"

He put on different voices and set up lots of multiple accounts on the same call, like over an hour.

My weekend has been all about relaxing, playing poker, and taking the kids shopping.. Overall it has been a great weekend, I've done very little work and lots of BBQ'in

Oh, won another Sunday Million Sat tonight, so that kinda tops off my day.. Hope everyone is doing good this weekend!

Busy all weekend here. 8-yr-old daughter had a softball game, softball practice, and 2 birthday parties to go to. Meanwhile the wife decides this is the perfect time to take apart said daughter's bed and dresser, sand them, paint them, and paint her bedroom. No rest for the weary!

I did get a ~800 hand session in on Saturday though, and it was good. I'll be looking to squeeze some in at some point today as well to try to stay on pace to finish out the month with 25k hands, I'm just shy of 20k right now.

Happy Memorial Day everyone...I am actually working today.

Thursday we broke in the kegerator.

Friday I hosted a 27 person $25 re-buy tournament...we ended up with over $1500 in the prize pool and I finished 2nd for a $380 pay-out. First place paid $680. I'm going to try and host one a month if the wife OK's it.

Saturday we had a cul-de-sac cook-out in my backyard. I cooked burgers and hot-dogs and everyone brought a couple of dishes of other food.
My brother-in-law showed up with shrimp and clams, so of course that called for a low-country steam with corn, potatoes, onions and sausage. We went hard into the night with the fire pit going and the kegerator flowing and kids playing in the pool.

Sunday I woke up to an empty keg, so I had to go buy another one. I had put out a "beer fund" coffee can,and actually had about $60 to apply to the new keg ($105 for Dos Equis if anyone cares).

We barbequed ribs with a few of the neighbors and watched the Coco-Cola 600 on a projector outside...just like being at the drive-in.

Great weekend, but for some reason I don't feel great today.

LW's post reminded me of what today is about...whatever my personal politics may be, my thoughts are with all the troops overseas.
