So I've hurt my foot and I'm not really able to run but I bought a bike and I'm trying to stay in shape while I heal up. Last weekend I was sitting on the couch drinking coffee and playing GTA 4 while I worked up the ambition to work out.

Well the wife came in and asked if I'd go tell my daughter to come home so they could leave. My daughter was down the street on her bike at the new house we are building so I walked outside and realized that I didn't have my car keys in my pocket because I was wearing my shorts for riding. No problem, I grab my bike, which is laying in the yard because I'm still a little redneck, and take off. It's only about a half mile to the house and I'm wearing shorts and flip flops. About 100 yards from the house I see my daughter and her friend coming around the corner ahead of me so I decide to show off a little. . . .

did I say I had been playing GTA? I was just doing some motorcycle missions and I still had a bad case of GTA on the brain. That's my only excuse.

I took my hands off the handle bars and leaned back on the bike flexing my arms for the kids. SO RETARDED! I started to veer left a little but i wanted to finish the flex and I reached a little late for the handle bars. I still had plenty of time but I wasn't warm and the old reflexes were a little off so when I grabbed with my left hand I also squeezed the front brake. Next thing I know I'm road surfing and the bike is tumbling past me. Then I'm standing up and I'm bleeding from both hands, one elbow and a knee. My daughter is scolding me for being a retard, but she was smart enough to not call me a retard. I told her to get to the house and I limped the bike to the house because I'd screwed up the gears. Anyhow I blame the video game of course.
