I'm thinking about running a Pokerstars Private tournament each week with a points system.. Not sure about prizes and such yet.. I would like to make it a mixed game format, NLHE, OMAHA, etc.. Also, I think in order for us to make it a real competition, we need to set the buy-in at $10..
Give me your ideas about this or another type of challenge.

Seems ok to me, but unless we get more participation it might be hard to keep that going. Having a fixed time tourney is going to be tough, it always seems to be hard to find a time good for everyone.
Maybe do some kind of challenge like with the donkaments but use MTT SNGS, 27 or 45 player. Probably should have started mulling this over a little sooner. |

I agree its hard to make it a good time for all plus things come up and you can't always be there. In fact I can't think of a fair way to have 1 or 2 fixed tournaments a week due to schedule reasons unless their on weekends.
Another forum does a pretty cool one with the 180 man $4 tournaments. Those are fun, I'd be up for those for sure. Either way I agree I'm tired of these quarter tournaments. |

Don't forget...with the weather getting warmer, I hear some people like to go outside. What's up with that? Anyway, something to keep in mind as there's always seems to be a poker lull in the spring.

Don't base any decisions on me, but I'm a microstakes player for the most part. I've enjoyed three months of a contest geared towards "my game". I would have absolutely no hard feelings if the higher level guys had a contest geared for them.
That said, I'd probably reserve the right to participate if I have a good swing here and there. |
