I just want to say thank you to everyone in advance who have been so supportive. We are very thankful for everything that you all have done for us and I won't lie, it has been an incredible help as well.
It's ironic that when I was younger, I was always willing to help out anybody who came to me in need. It's in my nature. I never imagined that one day the roles were reversed. I guess life is funny like that. Again, thank you in to everyone for everything! All monies will go towards buying Christmas presents for my children... and maybe one tank of gas, |

I will find a way into this tournament and make the donation as well. I don't deposit into PokerStars because I can't afford to "spend" the $50 minimum on poker right now, but I have a friend who can transfer me money if I give him cash, so I'm in, soon. (By typing this, it also gives me the fire under my butt to actually do it,

I, too was always kind and helpful to kids and people with special needs growing up. When other kids would pick on and ignore the handicapped, or mentally challenged kids, I would always stand up and have their back. When I started my computer career, I was introduced to a person (that I worked with) that had a Mentally handicapped daughter (19yo) that needed tutoring to help her become sufficent in computers in order to someday get a job in an office somewhere or something. I jumped at the chance. My wife used to teach religion to "special ed" kids because nobody else wanted to when she was younger. About 1 1/2 years into the tutoring this young woman, my wife got pregnant with our second child. When our son was two, he was diagnosed as Autistic. He's now 10 and quite a handful. My own mother (passed earlier this year) has suggested putting him in a home to ease our burden. Of course, that's out of the question as nobody would care for him as we do since he's ours and wouldn't trade him for the world. He's made tremendous strides in improvement, and is on the right track although we have a long road ahead of us. Many people have told us that God would only give us a special needs child because "we can handle it". It's hard to believe that I never put 2 and 2 together until I read what you said about the "role reversal" above. Apparently, your words are more true than you may have realized when you said (typed) it.

One question...
I know how it sucks if/when an outsider wins these tourneys, but are non-forum members welcome in this thing? The "friend" I spoke of that transfers money for me has a good heart and would probably jump at this, he'd probably kick in more like $20-25 either way, I didn't want to invite him before asking here first. He's not the Forum type so he'd never bother to contribute (or sponge like me) here, in fact the only thing he knows how to do on a computer is lose money on PokerStars. So the likelyhood (spelling???) of him finishing "in the money" is slim, but you never know. edited: just in case
