I'm wising up.
Full Tilt has been crazy packed with players this afternoon... wait lists 5 or 6 deep for decent tables. I hope it's still jumping tonight.

When there are too many shortstacks i just close out. I looked over one table today and the next highest stack had 40bbs. Ooops.

In my very limited live experience, I was comfortable playing a short stack, and I believe at the loose tables, my play with the short stack was reasonable.
I have not done particularly well with short stacks, online for some reason. I think that if I regularly played short stacks online, that I would be on a lot of players Buddy Lists. Making value calls against short stacks is tricky for me, but at least they generally cannot hurt my stack too badly. Short stacks can make aggressively raising and re-raising pre-flop more risky. I believe thatt Short Stacks have a shot to create some problems at tables which are very aggressive pre-flop, but should not do as well at less aggressive tables where players are more likely to fold to their all-in bets, or where there is relatively little re-raising pre-flop. |

You have that backwards spam, short stacks make raising and reraising preflop less risky.

I think I see what you mean, but at the low stakes I play, sometimes the short stacks go over the top of me, and if I think I am beaten, and the three bet is too large, I just fold. Of course, sometimes I think I have the short stack beat, call their allins, and win their stack. So I am not risking too much money even if I have to fold to an allin from a short stack preflop.
