I am much, much better at people reading, than hand reading in poker. At least I can learn a great deal about someone's personality from small pieces of their behavior, and a qualitative analysis of their appearance, and speech.
I also don't understand why people expect politicians from many states to be intelligent. Politicians are salesmen, nothing more than glorified real estate agents. The get elected because they can sell, not because the are intelligent or competent. I would expect a school teacher of average intelligence to be comparable to some elected officials, and the average logical thinking ability of teachers should in my mind not be less than the cognitive ability of the people you vote for, who are just salesmen, or spindoctors, who buy votes. The poor character of most elected public officials make them seem even less intelligent than they actually are. Yes, I would actually vote for several members of this formum over Hillary or Obama, and hope they could learn on the job. An analysis of the quality of Mr. Bachus' speech, his phraseology, the thematic content, and logical premises of his presentation, indicate that he probably currently, or previously has consumed a very large quantity of alcoholic beverages, and possibly other substances. He is trying to sell his position, i.e. to make all online gambling activities illegal, but to keep good old Bingo, and horseracing legal, and to implicitly endorse the local bookie. (only approximately 20%+ rake on exotic betting in horse racing), great deal. He is not trying to be intelligent, just trying to sell. He doesn't want internet gambling in the children's bedroom, but SPAM is cool to sent to your kids bedrooms, as well as financial scam emails, and to have a large quantity of booze in your children's homes. Some Pokermath. A large number of high level elected public officials engage in kiddy sex (defined as sex with people under the age of 1 Lets do the Math. (elected officials who have sex with underaged) + (elected officials who have homosexual, or gay sex, in public venues, such as clubs and vestibules) + (elected officials who use illegal drugs, at least as dangerous as cocaine or ecstasy) + (elected officials who download and view kiddie porn online or offline) is significantly greater than (the number of high level elected public officials who are not opposed to online gambling) A quantitate anlysis of behavioral patterns of elected high level politicians indicate that Mr Bachus' statements comparing kiddie porn to online gambling are essentially correct from a statistical point of view. Of course linking the two activities is incorrect. On-line gambling, and on-line poker are actually considered to be as bad, or worse, than having sex with minors, kiddie porn, and drug abuse, according the the behaviors of the elected officials. Clearly small stakes on-line poker is much more repugnant in the eyes of the politicians, than classy forms of gambling such as betting large sums of money with local bookies, horse racing, or dog racing, according to the behavior of elected public officials. An analysis of the chat on poker sites such as bodog, pokerstars, and ultimatebet reveal that there is a smaller link to any online pornography than virtually any other online chat venues. I have not read one single line of chat at any poker site which had any reference to child porn, and have read almost no chat that refers to adult porn. It appears that on-line poker players are less likely to be involved in any forms of pornography, than the general population. That is irrelevant though. If the pres, or any other elected official wants to ban on-line gambling they will use scare tactics and link it with "undesirable activities", such as kiddie porn in order to get the public to support their views. Again, you elected government official are only glorified salesmen. The only rationale which would not make on-line gambling illegal in the U.S., would be for the financially strapped U.S. government to acknowledge that they need to raise large amounts of money to run the country, and to tax online gambling. That is the only logical reason to legalize online gambling in the U.S. |
