Just to get it right: you go to profile, click custom avatar, stick in a URL or upload small image, save changes, see the image, and then it doesn't show on your posts?

i didn't do anything. i assume my avatar link was transferred from old forum. I see it in my profile.

avatars didn't come over, unfortunately. You should be able to re-upload them.

Nope. It's not working. I could upload a "profile picture" but that doesn't seem to be my avatar. When I go to "Edit Avatar", I have no options for linking or uploading as I do for Profile Picture. Don't sweat this, as I'm sure you have many other more important things to deal with in the move, but...

Profile picture IS NOT the right thing.

Go to user control panel.

Go to edit avatar.

Make sure use custom avatar is selected.

Then link to it or upload it.

Post again if you have tried that *and* it still doesn't work.

dude...

I used to have the avatar showing here. i wanted to remove it, and re-add the link. now i'm stuck with having no avatar, as you can't unselect the no avatar button.

This is the screen I get when I click "edit avatar".
I'm sure I'm doing something wrong, but I don't see an option for "custom avatar".
