lol, nice one! UTG+1 pre-flop was brilliant.

I flopped a set of jacks myself last night, which ended up not being so good against villains slow played Aces which gained set status of their own, deepstacked. Eeep. Bad night.

I didn't feel any "heat" from that board so I slow played. A Mistake here?

Well, with the ace on the flop, you want to raise to gain maximum value. On the turn you see a flush draw and some weird straight draws, the ace is still ou there so raise the turn as well. Finally, on the river you pretty much min-raised, go at least $1.50.

Hopefully with the raises on the earlier streets you would both be close to all-in.

Thanks. I'm always torn between getting money in there early in these situations & risking putting too much in and chasing them away with a hand I'm not too worried about them drawing out on me. True there were some almost obscure draws out there, and I guess they'd fold to any signifacant betting? I'm gonna really work on this part of my game.
