HU SNG's is an upcoming source to make money online. The only strategy that counts is making huge amount in no time. I am a poker player planning to jump into HU SNG's.

JAMOOL mentioned something interesting...

Quote:
I got my practice in at the $2 ones at Stars.
I have been thinking of playing these games as well to get started. Since the $2 games have a 10% rake, am I correct in my math that we need to win 55% of our matches just to break even?

Are the games that easy to achieve that kind of a winrate or just jump up to the $5.25 games? I was told that a winrate larger than 60% is probably unlikely and was hoping for some feedback from someone who has played a nice sample of these games.

Nice Article BTW!

There's no difference in the $2 and $5 games, so it's better just to jump into the $5 games. 10% rake is not impossible to beat but why make things more difficult for you than you have to, right? I think at these levels 60-70% winrate is very doable fwiw, but I wouldn't expect someone just starting out to achieve that rate in the long run.

You could also try the $5.50+0.25 deep no blind increase tourneys. These have less than 5% rake, but if you're going for winrate, they also probably take 3 times as long as other tournaments.

I don't see the point in no blind increase HU tournaments honestly. Plus when one guy gets a sizeable lead it's almost impossible to come back without getting cards IMO.

Love heads up sng's games. Play the smaller stakes from $2.00 to $10.00 I prefer these easy games when trying to build a bankroll. Over a course of a day I play maybe 10 to 15 games and most of the time by the end of the day I have won more of them than I have lost, which is always good for the bankroll. Plus unlike MTT's you don't have to invest hours of your time to play to make the cash, so it's perfect if you just want to play for a little while.
