Default Two hands where villain bet/calls and then leads. 3/6 Live

Several limpers and I have A8h.
Flop is 8s5h4h.
MP bets. Hero just calls. Rest fold.
Turn is a 7c. MP bets. Hero raises. MP calls.
River is an As. MP bets. Hero raises. Thoughts?

4-5 limpers. Hero has KTo on the button.
Flop is AQJ all diamonds.
Checked to hero who bets. All fold except for UTG.
Turn is a 9c. UTG leads. Hero raises. UTG calls.
River is a 2c. UTG leads. Hero raises. Thoughts?

I'm content to call down hand one on both turn and river, but I would have raised flop instead of flatting.

Hand 2: I don't know what to think after villain chooses not to 3bet turn, so I think I like how that hand was played.
The odds of flopping a flush are worse than 100 to 1, and even though that number goes up with 4-5 limpers, I think there's a lot of value from his range.

Hand 1 is how I'd play, hand 2 I'd just flat call the river.
