Late in Posting
I meant to post this around the 13th…before I left for AC. But I forgot. So it’s a little dated. But here goes…
I might set a personal record for least amount of hands played in a month in a month on which I was not on a break. Here it is almost the middle of October and I played around 200 hands. That’s it. This doesn’t count live poker, as I’m about to go on a three night trip to Atlantic City. And my trip to AC is causing me not to play online.
Why? Because I’m stupid. Or very smart. Let me explain. My 200 hands this month were all in one session. And other than getting AA twice, I didn’t get very many playable hands. Of course, 200 hands isn’t a lot. But my VIP was extremely low, even for me. I figure because I got so few good cards, I should NOT play online anymore because I should be due for a nice hot run of cards. And when would I want a hot run? When I’m playing .05/.10 online or when I’m playing 1/2 live? Why, 1/2 live, of course. So, no more poker for me until AC. It’s sound reasoning.
I actually might not get much time to play the rest of the month. Next week looks pretty open, other than a Penguins game on TV on Tuesday, and going to the Pens game Friday. But a lot of times I just don’t feel like playing when I finally get home from work. The following weekend might work. The GF’s Dad is coming to town, so she might be busy with him, leaving me to do whatever I want. Or, it could backfire and she’ll want me to join her in entertaining her Dad. And, the Phillies are in the National League Championship series, which will take away some time so I can watch the games (as long as they start before, I don’t know, 10PM). It’s not looking good towards the end of the month either as I’m going to two more Pens games.
And that really sucks because I lost a medium size pot with one of those two AA’s I got and am down for the month. If I don’t get some serious time (and good skill) soon, it’s shaping up to be a losing year based on a horrible February, taking a couple months off, and moving down to 10NL. I’m not comfortable enough to move back to 25NL, so unless I absolutely crush the game next month, it’ll be an off year. Keep in mind, a lot of you guys play the same number of hands in a month than I do all year.
And now for some updates. AC was successful only because I pulled in a huge pot. Other than that, I didn’t play many hands. I still haven’t played online yet since my one and only session. Maybe today. It’s either that or head to a craft show with the GF and her Dad. Guess which one I’m hoping for? The Phillies are in the World Series, so that will cut into my playing time. And I’m not really worried about it being a losing year. I’m kinda on the fringe of caring about poker right now. It comes and goes with me.

Come on Snicks. That’s pure superstition (being due)! I expect more from you.
“So, no more poker for me until AC. It’s sound reasoning.”
Please tell me you are joking…

Boy, all of a sudden sarcasm doesn’t show thru on the Internet.
Yes, it was a joke. Although, tell that to my set of kings that tripled me up and made it a winning trip!
