Finally A Chance To Play

So, with a fresh $100 in my account (see last post), I finally get to hit the tables on Saturday the 14th for only the second time this month. Yeah, I’m playing on Valentine’s Day…got a problem with it? I also played on Christmas. That’s the kind of GF I have. I also decided to make a video for Ugi to watch and hopefully point out some things. This will be the first video of me 2-tabling, possibly 3-tabling. (more…)

Finally Get To Do A PokerStars Bonus

Well, my last post was about me getting close to making my first ever ‘real’ withdraw.  Like, withdraw profits and do something with the money.  But then I started off February doing not so well, and then Poker Stars offered a reload bonus, so I couldn’t withdraw because that voids your opportunity to get the reload bonus.  And now it’s February 15th and before last night, I’ve played poker once so far this month.  So, let’s do a recap of the month.  I was going to say quick recap, but nothing is quick when I write these. If You Are A Poker God, Please Don’t Read This

The Cash Out Jinx has been discussed at various times in the forum, although it’s been a while since anyone brought it up.  If you’re unfamiliar, the jinx goes like this…run up your bankroll, cash out some, go on a major downswing.  Some people really believe in the jinx…that maybe it’s the poker site’s way of making sure you keep your money on their site.  (While I’m sure all the major poker sites work the same whereas they must make sure your money is available at all time and not use it themselves, I’m sure it’s sitting in an interest bearing account.)  I tend to side with the folks who say it’s probably simple variance.  You were on the upswing when you drove your account up, and unfortunately, you’re on the downside now.  Just so happens you had a withdraw in the middle.  If you didn’t withdraw, you’d be complaining about how bad you’re running.
