poker is one thing that I am not cocky about, and I am not proficient at hand reading, or ranging players. However, it is my observation that it is common for short stacks at $.10/$.25 or $.25/$.50, at least on UB and Bodog (the new bodoglife) to have impulsive personalities, which translate into deciding fairly frequently to commit to a hand in advance. Frequently calling short stacks all-ins with good but vulnerable hands such as an over pair may be profitable due to the relatively high frequency of impulsive bluffing by many short stacks, at least in my experience.
Many short stacked players at the lower limits are either financially impaired, or do not have skills to play consistently well post flop. It appears to me that a significant number of these players are vulnerable to behaving impulsively and making errors.
My observation also indicates that the short stacked players who frequently whine in chat and play weak/tight post flop, are less likely to run bluffs.
